Professional Supervision for Social Workers. Grow your confidence. Deepen your practice. Sustain your career.

Professional supervision is more than a requirement for accreditation or registration. It is a space where you can think clearly, develop professionally, practice articulation of your values and ethics, and leave feeling better equipped for the work you do every day. Supervision is best practice.

With more than 30 years' experience as a social work practitioner and supervisor, I provide reflective, evidence-informed supervision for social and community service professionals across Australia.

Whether you are building your career or are an experienced practitioner, supervision provides an opportunity to strengthen your clinical thinking, maintain professional wellbeing and continue developing your practice.

Who I work with

I welcome supervisees from across the social and community services sector, including:

  • Social Workers, psychologists, counsellors, youth workers, guidance teachers, mental health nurses, O.Ts and physics in mental health.
  • Accredited Mental Health Social Workers
  • Social Workers working towards Mental Health Accreditation with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Rural and remote practitioners within the allied and mental health field
  • Team leaders and managers if I am not supervising your staff
  • Early career and experienced clinicians

My approach

My supervision combines over three decades of clinical practice with current research. I use two models of supervision: cubic knowledge (values, ethics and skills) and SHELF-Care.

As a Mental Health Accredited Social Worker and PhD researcher in psychoeducation and bibliotherapy, I help practitioners explore complex practice issues through reflection, evidence and practical strategies that can be applied immediately.

My areas of expertise include:

  • Mental health practice
  • Trauma-informed practice
  • Professional resilience and burnout prevention
  • Clinical reasoning and reflective practice
  • Psychoeducation
  • Bibliotherapy
  • Rural and remote social work
  • Professional development and career progression

Supervision is supportive, challenging and tailored to your professional goals.

Supervision can help you

  • Meet AASW supervision requirements
  • Prepare for Mental Health Accreditation
  • Develop confidence in complex clinical work
  • Prevent burnout and compassion fatigue
  • Improve reflective practice
  • Build sustainable, ethical practice
  • Reconnect with why you became a social worker
