HI, I'M MEGAN
Those greys are natural: I earnt every one by experiencing all life has to offer...including heart break and hardship. I'm a grandmother to eight so I figure I'm allowed to wear my grey with pride! I am also very natural - what you see is real, authentic and totally genuine. Dive in to learn a little more.
MY STORY
I was a wild child from Papua New Guinea. I grew up in an Army barracks and my early Vietnam War experiences forged my deep belief in social justice and standing up for the underdog.
I wanted to do medicine but instead did Social Work. I specialised early in child sexual assault counselling and went on to work in related fields for 22 years before gaining mental health credentials and following my innate entrepreneurial spirit.
WHY DO I TEACH?
I am a natural educator and value life long learning. Even in my sexual assault days I was educating constantly. I love groups, meeting new people and finding ways to help people understand complex issues.
I taught at University for a year but didn't fit because I like laughter. I believe we commit to memory quicker when joy is paired with learning.
I have lived remotely for many years so teaching online is a natural corollary for me. I love to share my knowledge, skill and passion for life.
The change starts with you. I have a key but you have the lock.
MY VALUES
My six highest values are:
social justice, life long learning, empowerment, women's skills, community, family and friends.
Values are so very important to knowing and understanding yourself that I developed my teaching, coaching and supervision models around Cubic Knowledge - because cubes have more depth than a square.
